Guidance and Psychological Counseling

Here, in the METU NCC Guidance and Psychological Counseling (GPC) program, we learn both theoretically and practically how to support individuals' academic, social, and emotional development. We gain knowledge and skills in areas such as developmental psychology, psychological counseling theories, and group counseling. Especially through the psychological counseling laboratory and practical courses, we get the chance to prepare for the field while we’re still students.

GPC graduates are not only employed in schools but also in counseling centers, human resources, and mental health institutions. When we graduate, we can be directly appointed as "psychological counselors," which is one of the biggest advantages of the program.
