Mechanical Engineering

Hello! Here at the METU NCC Mechanical Engineering Program, we receive a comprehensive and well-rounded education. In the early years, we start with foundational sciences and then build our engineering background. In the third and fourth years, we dive deeper into areas such as design, manufacturing, fluid mechanics, and energy systems through courses specifically focused on mechanical engineering. Our courses are both theoretical and supported by lab work, which means we get to apply what we learn.

This program isn’t limited to what we learn in the classroom. We can easily reach out to our instructors and communicate with them directly. This allows us to ask questions freely and learn more effectively. In a small and interactive environment, we receive a high-quality education without compromising METU’s standards. When we graduate, the diploma we receive is a METU diploma.

Mechanical engineering is a broad field — it opens doors to industries such as automotive, energy, defense, manufacturing, design, and R&D. If we wish, we can also pursue graduate studies and explore other areas. This flexibility is extremely valuable.

The education we receive at METU Northern Cyprus equips us not only technically but also socially. We get to know different perspectives in an international environment and develop ourselves in many dimensions.
