Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering

Hello! Here at the METU NCC Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Program, we learn how to discover, extract, and manage underground energy resources. Our education goes beyond just technical knowledge — it also includes our environmental, social, and ethical responsibilities. From drilling to production, from reservoir modeling to energy transportation, we experience many processes both theoretically and practically.

Thanks to mandatory summer internships, we get to observe both field and office work environments firsthand. This gives us a real understanding of the industry even before graduation. The program also includes knowledge about alternative sources such as geothermal energy.
